A real one-room reset
Photographs and a short write-up from a founding client, published only with written consent.
Calm Space does not organise your home for a photograph. We create realistic systems that still work on the difficult days.
Now serving:Reading · Caversham · Tilehurst · Earley · Woodley · Wokingham · Winnersh · Twyford · Bracknell.
A clear home for the things you use, a simple reset, and less mental clutter.
Systems stop fitting the people who live in them. Jobs change, children arrive, energy shifts, and the advice in tidying books quietly assumes you have infinite motivation. You don't. Neither does anyone else.
Calm Space is not therapy and it isn't a magazine reset. It is practical, systems-first home organising that expects real life to happen and still holds up.
Stop losing ten minutes a day to hunting for keys, letters, chargers, and the thing your child needs for school.
A room that makes obvious decisions on your behalf is a room that stops taking up space in your head.
You get a calm second pair of hands and eyes. Your choices — what stays, what leaves — remain yours.
Every reset ends with a short, realistic routine you can actually follow, plus a seven-day follow-up.
No dramatic reveals. No forcing you to throw things away. Just a considered process you can follow, pause, and repeat.
We start with a short conversation, in person or by phone. What does a normal week look like? Where does your household actually get stuck? What has been tried and what hasn't worked?
A one-room reset has to have a target. We agree on it together and write it down, so we can measure the visit against something specific rather than a vague sense of "better".
Most rooms hide the majority of their contents. We bring things into the open, together, so decisions are made on what's really there — not on what you remember owning.
We work through items in small batches, so the decision fatigue never gets ahead of you. You are always the one who chooses what stays.
Every zone in the room is designed around a real behaviour: where you drop bags, where you charge things, where the daily items live. Storage products come later, only if needed.
The room is only half the job. You leave with a short maintenance routine — a few minutes at set moments — that keeps the reset working when life gets in the way.
Seven days after the reset we check in — a short message or call — to see what's held, what needs a tweak, and whether any small changes would help it stick.
A single, focused visit designed to solve one specific problem area — not the entire home. Real work, in one afternoon, with a written plan you keep.
Calm Space Co. is a small, local home-organising service based in Berkshire. I set it up because I understand — from my own home and my own head — how a house can quietly become difficult to manage.
I have ADHD. My professional background is in bringing order and structure to complex situations, and Calm Space is where I apply that same systems-thinking to homes.
I'm not here to create a magazine room. I'm here to build systems that survive normal life: school runs, bad days, tired evenings, the lot. You stay in control of every decision. Nothing leaves without your say-so. Ever.
— Matthew
What's in your home stays private. Nothing is shared with anyone.
Every keep, donate or discard call is yours. We work at your pace.
Bags for donation or removal only leave when you say so.
A short service agreement before we begin. No surprises.
Big projects aren't squeezed into a one-room visit. We say so.
Only if you offer it, only after the reset, and only what you approve.
Sensory needs, breaks and pace are part of how we plan the visit.
Public liability cover in place. Certificate available on request.
Insurance details will be available before paid bookings commence.
Calm Space is new. Rather than fake reviews or stock before-and-after photos, this page will fill up with real founding-client stories — with their permission and their words.

A follow-up story a few months on, with what held and what needed a small tweak.
No fake reviews. No AI-generated names. No stock before-and-after images. If it's here, it's real, it belongs to a client, and it was shared by choice.
No. That is a genuine promise, not a marketing line. Calm Space exists precisely because homes get difficult, and judgement makes things worse, not better. We work with what is actually there.
No. You decide what stays, what leaves, and what waits for a decision another day. “Not sure” is a valid category. Nothing is discarded, donated or moved out of the house without your explicit agreement.
A pre-visit consultation, up to four hours of hands-on support in one room or defined area, practical zones designed around your routines, simple labels where they help, a short maintenance routine you can actually keep, and a seven-day follow-up.
Storage products (we recommend them separately if you want them), specialist or bulky waste removal (a specialist should be booked for that), and larger, whole-home projects (those are scoped and priced individually).
Only if you offer to share them, only after the reset (never before), and only what you approve. Photography is never part of the booking process. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Yes. Sensory needs, pace, breaks, and how instructions are given are part of how we plan the visit. Tell us anything that would make the day easier — it never surprises us, and we don't need a formal diagnosis to accommodate it.
Reading · Caversham · Tilehurst · Earley · Woodley · Wokingham · Winnersh · Twyford · Bracknell. If you are just outside these areas please still get in touch — we may still be able to help.
No. Please don't. If you tidy first we can't see the real situation, which means we can't design a system that fits it. Leave it as it is.
You'll get a friendly reply from Matthew to arrange a short, no-obligation call. If it's a good fit we agree a date; if it isn't, we'll say so and suggest something else.
No. Calm Space is home organising, not cleaning. Specialist or bulky waste removal is a job for the right specialist — we can point you to reputable local options, but we don't remove waste ourselves.
Individually. A whole-home reset needs a proper site visit and a written proposal, so the pricing reflects the scope rather than being squeezed into an hourly rate. Get in touch and we'll walk you through it.
Life happens. Cancellation terms are written into the short service agreement. In short: give as much notice as you reasonably can, and we'll work with you.
